Tsaus Mountains

The Tsaus Mountains is a mountain range located within the desert of Namibias restricted area (Sperrgebiet). Part of the Nama Group (a precambrian foreland basin made up of both siliclastic and carbonate units) the mountains have a very chracteristic horizontal layered structure and a very organic shape which has been formed over thousands of years. It´s extension is about 11 square kilometers and it reaches a height of over 1100 meters.
